District 4 Championship Formula

NSRCA D4 Championship Rules

  1. A pilot must be an NSRCA member in order to win the District championship
  2. A pilot must be listed as a D4 member on the NSRCA membership list to be eligible for the championship.
  3. A pilot begins accumulating Championship points when he or she fulfills the above requirements.  No points are credited for contests flown prior to being an NSRCA member/D4 member. Non-members do count in scoring.
  4. A pilots point total shall be the total of his or her best four contests during the season. One of those four contests may be an out of District contest.

5.   When the Nats are held in Muncie (or any other D4 site) they may be counted as an in-district contest.  When they are held in another district they may be used as a pilot’s one out of District contest.

6.  Nats points are limited to the points available at the largest D4 contest of the season in each respective class.  For example, if the largest turnout for Advanced is nine pilots, Nats points for that class will be limited to those scored in a nine pilot field no matter how large the field is at the Nats.

7.  Double points shall be awarded for the District championship contest.

8.  Points will be awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, with an additional point for each pilot finished ahead of.

9. Points for the first five places will be awarded irrespective of field size.

10.  Reporting out of district points is strictly the responsibility of each pilot. If scores are available on patternscoring.com, simply notifying  the DVP or other designated scorekeeper will suffice.  If not available on patternscoring, the pilot should request a scoresheet from the contest CD and submit it to the scorekeeper.

11.   Tiebreakers:

       Head to head finish places

total points in all D4 contests

total points in all contests flown

Nats finish.
