AMA membership is required.

Field will be available for practice during the week preceding the contest.

Overnight RV camping is available; limited electrical hook-ups.

6 Rounds Weather permitting.  Awards through 3rd place in all classes.

Registration starts at 7:30 AM, Pilot Meeting at 8:30 AM, wheels up 9:00 AM.

Any AMA legal aircraft is OK for Sportsman.

Entry fee will be $30 for Sportsman, $10 for EDF, and $50 for all other classes.

F3A will fly 4 rounds of P and 2 rounds of F.  F3A Silver will fly P-23.

FAI scoring:  The best 3 of 4 of P will be Normalized to 1000 points and the best 2 of 3 (including one, or both rounds of F) will be used for the final score.

EDF will also be flown.  If you plan on flying EDF, please select EDF in the pull-down menu.  Note: we will be flying the District 7 EDF Jet Pattern listed on Page 2 of the Flyer.

Lunch on Saturday (sandwich, chips, and drink) is included in the entry fee.

A gourmet BBQ will be hosted at the field Saturday evening after the day’s competition has ended (donation suggested), followed by night flying events, music, and entertainment.

A special raffle will be conducted on Sunday with prizes from some of your favorite suppliers and vendors. 

Each contestant will receive a T-shirt commemorating the event.

ATTENTION

NOTE: There is major road construction being done on the intersection at Bear Mountain Blvd. (223) and Wheeler Ridge Rd. Avoid this area. You cannot reach the field from there.

Arriving from the North on Highway 99:

Go past the Bear Mountain Blvd offramp (223) and drive approximately 6 miles, exit on Sandrini Rd.

Turn left (east) and drive approximately 8 miles to Wheeler Ridge Rd. Turn left (north) and drive 7 miles to the field entrance.

Arriving from the East on Highway 58:

Take Highway 58 to the Arvin turnoff (Bear Mountain Blvd.) and proceed thru Arvin to Edison Rd. (14 miles). Turn Left on Edison Rd. to Herring Rd. (4 miles). Turn right and drive to Wheeler Ridge Rd. (4 miles). Turn right and drive to the field entrance.

Arriving from the South on Interstate 5

Going north on Interstate 5, at the bottom of the Grape Vine, take the Arvin off ramp (Wheeler Ridge Rd) to the field, approximately 18 miles.  Note – This is the normal route when arriving from the south,
