Brazos Valley Fall Pattern Classic Brazos Valley R/C Modellers is proud to hold the Brazos Valley Fall Pattern Classic. We will fly all classes: 401, 402, 403, 405, and 406. Any AMA legal aircraft will be allowed to fly in Sportsman (401). Our runway is grass and is 900 ft. long by 200 ft. wide. Lunch available on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday nights festivities include a BBQ buffet-style dinner and a good ole country western evening concert. We will also be having a night fly so bring out your night fly planes and enjoy the atmosphere. This promises to be a great contest and we look forward to seeing you there. There is ample room for campers (no hook-ups). There will be several of us camping so feel free to pull up a trailer or tent. The field will be open on Thursday beginning at noon and Friday beginning at 10 AM. Entry fee is $40. Due to the sun, we will start slightly later. Pilot's meeting at 10:30AM. There is shelter but not a ton of it. If you have a canopy, you may want to bring it and a comfy chair. There is plenty of power available for charging batteries. College Station is home to Texas A&M University and this weekend is an "Away" game so there should be plenty of hotel space available. We are really looking forward to this event and hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please give me a call at (979) 595-7990. Thanks, Scott The BVRC flying field is located near Wixon Valley just off of Highway 21 approximately 4 miles east of Bryan. From Highway 21 at the blinking light, turn left (north) onto FM 2776 and go 4/10 of a mile. Turn left across the cattle guard entrance to our field. |
